What's up, AD??

This will be my first post ever here on AD. I'm coming from New Jersey, but has been recently move down here in North Carolina, I'm loving this new home that we're living in, so therefore the school that I attending to when I was very young, I went to New Jersey school for the deaf. I haven't been able to finish, but rather to give me a graduation certificate anyway.

Now I have very good reason why I decided to be part of AD, because I felt a sense of urgency for me to showing up here to talking about this.

You know, years ago, I told my former friends that I'm thinking about running for president of the united states of america, that I want to make the very history of being first-ever deaf president to serve this country that I love so much. Guess what of their responses was? They roared a wildly laughter and told me that it's VERY impossible for me to do that, because president required to have phone conversation and talking to world leaders. Having to said that I disagree with them, because being deaf doesn't mean you can't talk to world leaders, but YOU can!

Recently after Barack Obama won to become our first black president in the united states history, I cried so heavily. Thanks to him, my dream has reawaken to realize that this is my time to take the shot to do it.

The reason is I'm doing this, because I fear that deaf culture could be disappeared in many centuries to comes, so it would be good idea for me to stepping in to stop it. Don't want deaf culture to be vanishing into thick air, because this is creation of god who create deaf culture. I felt that I want to protect and defend deaf culture. Deaf culture is very, very important and being part of my life. To me, I think it's wrong to wiping deafness off the face of earth forever.

So people of AD, do you think I should do it? I won't be eligible for president until 2020.

You need to get a good education first. Welcome to AD.

Welcome aboard to AD, Prime Boss. Your best bet would be for you to become a member of House of Representative, or a senator or a governor of your state first before consider becoming a President, so you could get people to know you personally and upfront. I'm just throwing in my opinion. :)

Welcome  If that is your heart desire then I say build your bridge!! Hope the best for you!!!

Welcome AD SMILE

It is happy smile

That is peaceful and freedom :)

:welcome: to AllDeaf forum. That would take you to have a hard work and hard life in the media eyes. Being famous as the President of the United States is going to take a hard toll on your usual lifestyle. Like Botts and Cheri, you need to graduate with a good education and then go on to college of your choice to study about government and the laws. Later on maybe you can go into the Senate or House of Representative to become a Senator. If you work and promote your interest in the Deaf Culture and other Deaf issues in the Senate or House of Representative, your work will be greatly appreciative. I do hope you will become the President of the United States when your time comes. Oh, I would love to have a Deaf President to support us so that we don`t have to suffer with the hearing people and the AGBell Audists. Good Luck. :D :thumb:

I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. See you around, Prime Boss.
