Hi,

I'm hearing, but I grew up next to a deaf school, it was a state school and sometimes interacted with the townspeople. But I was involved, playing on their sports teams going to parties, and hanging out. My neighbors were deaf and so if I was in the group it was very natural to go around and simply forget I was hearing because I became so accustomed to relying on the same senses as my friends. It does add to the problem that I have auditory processing issues so being in the hearing world drives me nuts because I can't understand if 2 people talk at once even if just one is talking to me, or if there is background noise.

So I'm missing my deaf world and but I know I don't count as deaf.
