Hearing mama to 5, 1 deaf, 1 on the way

Hi, I'm new here and just wanted to say hi. I don't know if I'll post much but I enjoy reading through all of the threads and enjoy learning about the deaf perspective. My deaf son is 4 and wears Oticon Safari's in both ears. We learned he was deaf just a little over a year ago so our whole family is learning ASL and he is also doing speech work when he goes to school. So, hello

Welcome!!!! Is he in a dhh program/school? Look into that as a placement....he can get both speech training AND ASL.......
