Hearing lose and pain

Is it normal to have hearing lose and pain in your ears. My ears have been hurting for a week and I have no idea why. I no it's not a ear infection so I'm lost.
 
How are your teeth and sinuses? Either one can cause intense pain in your ears.
 
I knew a woman that had an earache that would not go away and she had an infected tooth. The OP should go to see someone right away before things get worst.
