Hopefully a mod will be along soon to assist you , and explain why a young girl should not be attempting to meet strangers just because they are deaf, or for any other reason.

Every once in a while some teenage girl does this here and they are soon back on the board screaming and protesting because they are getting way more and a different kind of attention than they wanted.

This is a bad idea! :crazy:
 
Wow! Does your mother know you are doing this? This is a very bad idea. There are a lot of sick people out there. You are 17 you should not be looking for strangers on the computer

I was thinking the same thing. Two women were killed by the same guy they meet on a web site . I think it was EBay . The guy is now in jail , he was studing to be a doctor. You can never know it could be

You guys...that's not the way to talk to her. Just direct her to a deaf dating site such as DeafSinglesConnection or DeafPassions. I am pretty sure there's nothing wrong with finding love here. She is looking for love and I am sure she knows how to defend herself from strangers. Most deafies are harmless, I believe. Siggyfresh, don't you worry! I am sure there's someone special out there waiting for you! Go for it! ;D
 
deaf dating sites are worthless, just go to an local deaf social place in your area, and you'll thank me later. :aw:

The women that were killed by a by the ebay killer were old than the 17 years old and were not able to defend themselves. And how will you know if the guy is deaf or HOH , anyone can say they're and not be.
 
Either way the internet is not a good place to meet someone. Esp for 17. Your young go out and find it, use the computer once you've tried for 10 years. Young people are supposed to go out!
 
Don't listen to those people telling you to be wary of meeting people online. I, myself, met my girlfriend online 7 years ago and have been with her for 5 years. Online is different because people can pretend to be something else. Hmm...I always tell people this: People can look attractive online until you find out how bad they smell in person. Just use your common sense and remember that line.
