8. Should a child be made to wear a CI?
I do not feel they should, but I am not a parent of a deaf/HOH child. My views may change if I need to make this decision. I prefer to bow out of this type of debate.
9. What could hearing people do to make deaf feel more comfortable?
You could treat them as you would anyone else, but with a few extra steps, such as looking at them when you speak, patience, perhaps writing if there is no other way. And keep learning ASL.
