I often go to flea market. I may pay for an item and leave it with dealer. You know that I'll pick it up when. I'm done with shopping. How do you feel about this practice as a shopper or a dealer?

Other thing is buying more than one item. Let's say that I buy item #1 from dealer #1. I take it with me. I then buy item #2 from dealer #2. I decide to leave item #1 and #2 with dealer #2. I'll pick them up later. How would you feel being dealer #2 in this situation?

I've left bigger stuff like furniture but I probably wouldn't leave an item with a different seller.

Depends on different things...however, I have sold things at flea markets and the like... depending on how I am asked I do not mind holding items for others..depending on the item.... however if I am just expected to hold something without being asked I find it rude ....

Derek, what you've got to do is get a little red wagon to put all your purchases in and haul it around to the dealers.

Never asked a dealer to hold anything...so much of Flea Market items are "hot"....:hmm:

The dealer may decide to go home early and take your paid items with them. I had brought a small bookcase at a flea market and carried it to my car then when back and looked around some more. You never know when a person will pack up and leave at a flea market.

Long, long ago, my mom & I found a nice little desk at a flea market but didn't want to carry it back to the car (long walk) (or maybe the car we had wouldn't hold it). We arranged to meet the dealer at a flea market closer to our house the next weekend. I don't recall if we had paid for it or put a deposit on it or just asked to have them hold it for us.
