noticed that sarcasm can be a rather hateful tool to win an arguement you should not win in the first place?

That's what ruined the whole trick question thing for my friend... :roll:VamPyroX said:Well, I agree with her. I know a few people who always make a sarcastic remark just to win an argument when there's no point in winning an argument. For instance, my friend gave this gal a question. He said, "There's an apple tree on an island and a horse on another island. How does the horse get his apple during the winter?" She replied, "Swim across?" The answer was, "Apples don't grow on trees in the winter." She then replied, "But what if it was in another country or the tree was in a glass dome? You never know what could happen!?"
You as being sarastic queen? *Thinking* Oooo Oooo that's nice!!pinkster said:No it was not intended for just one person.
As for deaf vs hearing in sarcasm - i think its about the same. Depends on what kind of people you hang out with.Do keep in mind that some people come off sarcastic without meaning to. "Thanks a lot" is a hard one, you can say it normally and someone wld be me "oh what, thanks? you suck" something like that.
I used to be the sarcastic queen in HS or something like that. I detest it now. People use it so often and so poorly that nothing is ever accomplished when you're trying to have a "heated debate." The person who is, ultimately, the most sarcastic, wins by default. Thats fucked.
