I can understand why you say that, but there are two issues. Firstly, that someone does not notice any problems does not mean that the communication actually is working well. If a colleague sais that to me, they simply haven't noticed how much I am missing in group conversations and how hard I work to compensate. It would be much nicer to hear "I notice your hearing is not good at all, but the communication is working excellently anyway."


Secondly, if someone is using an interpreter or assistive devices, and this makes the communication work great. Are these people less good at communication just because it is obvious they don't have normal hearing?


I simply don't like getting a compliment for looking "normal".
