That is very true . I just saw on the news not long ago a lot of kids where getting free HA because there was no way the parents could afford them. And the ear molds and batteries cost money too. I really think the OP shout try use get help from the Veteran Service Office ,they may be able to made so phone calls on his behave . There are companies that want to help vets out so many a search on line would help. There are so many ways to get help , the OP just have start making phones calls and look on line. He could get a list of places do help people out , the veteran office might have lists of agencies that have nothing to do with the military

I just found this link when I typed in this ' hearing aids for veterans' There was another one but I could not get it open. I know there the Lion Clubs collects eyes glasses maybe the OP could call some clubs in his state and see if they collect HA , it will help until he find get a new one.
