Great news!
This morning’s first re-check after TPLO surgery went well- Vet said that it looks like we’re doing a good job and the leg is coming along very well – Kaylee’s walking on it easily and she has good range of motion, no swelling. She had a scab along the incision line that was starting to come up in pieces so they took that off. Vet Suggested we should use some antibiotic ointment on that until the surface tissue heals- she can probably start water therapy next week so long as that strip of skin heals over; we could do other therapies starting this week. She also said once that heals we can take off the Bite Not Collar <looks like a neck brace for a person>.
Overall doc. Thought progress was excellent and she was pleased.
The second and final re-check will entail x-rays, at about 8 weeks out, altogether.
Kaylee can now have some more active toys in her pen, like food puzzle games <Buster Cube etc>
