So I had the ASSR that my audi wanted me to have..nothing really was out of the norm. My results were the same as my audiogram...there were some diff peaks that you don't see on my audiogram because obvs the ASSR is brain evoked...My audi thinks the lil peaks is why I have so much trouble in noise and why I have recruitment. Since my hearing hasn't dropped significantly they won't replace my aids for free... They will do early replacement if it is warranted but recruitment and noise issues and such don't count. My audi thinks the UP's are way better for me but I can't afford to pay fully out of pocket for them.
 
Ugh, sorry Alicia, wish you could just get them and not have to pay for them.... At least there isnt a real underlying issue. Guess you will just have to wait which really sucks because you could benefit from these sooner =(
 
I am going for another CI evaluation..just dunno when my audi thinks I *may* qualify because of the recruitment and noise issues
