Gun law......in minnesota

As you know that in minnesota the new gun law passed which allows any people with gun permit to carry a handgun anywhere they go. I think this is stupid idea, is it same as ur state?
I even seen people going into stores like wal-mart carring handguns freaks me out! there are now 14,000 minnesotans having permit for handguns and growing.
