I'm thinking about going to graduate school to get my MFA in graphic design, preferrably an institute with resources that caters to the Deaf like RIT.. and still keep the costs low. I already have a BA in graphic design, but it makes sense to me to get a new degree. That would be cool to command a higher salary, too. It could even help pay down the loan faster, too, I know. But I am kind of dragging my butt about getting school debt again, and I absolutely hate that idea.. I paid off the rest a few years ago! :ugh3:

Most major univerities will offer graduate assistantships to help defray the costs of graduate school and minimize the debt incurred. Check with the school you are planning on attending regarding the availability.

As same my husband's student loan and still ongoing payments every weekly but somehow they fusterate reach us and decide put us collection. Wha..a joke? We've been kept telling them, We are Deaf... why can't they use tty contact me? We are still on payments..
So we are file the victim complaints to Federal gov't against the Student loan related to CIBC and ARC too..
*waiting hearing the federal gov't will fill us information update soon*
Which we have kept proof documents and etc against the student loan cibc and arc too.
ARC kept denied and want keep collecting our $ which good thing fed gov't help us awful lot and relooked into the ARC and my bank already payments automatic itself.. good thing it's proof.

Oh brother.. I never like student loan.. Why Student loan want you money back when you after graduated...? My husband have not gone graduate post secondary college yet but got a part time co-oed job temporary releated College learning.. Student loan doesn't believe my husband statement plus includes his college staff already written the formal letter to student loan but still same thing goes result.. Pretty crappy!

We learned it lot from Student loan debt pretty nightmare!!!

I am debt-phobic :ugh3:
Sorry about the problems with your hub's student loan... I had the salliemae loan.

Many companies rather to hire young and cheap labor (preferably in diploma / AAS degree). That's what I think. If you are 40 years old and older, then good luck to find a job somehow. Approximately 300 students graduated from one college every year, and they are on their way to find a job. 300 to 1.

I am still paying my school loan the interest rate is ridiculous. I did apply for Pell grant too it wasn't enough to cover going to school out of state.

I know how you feel. I just graduated with two degrees from RIT... with a huge debt. Hopefully, I'll pay it off soon. :)
