Government Funding for Laptop

Hi,

I am studying business courses in university. I am wondering how I can explain some good points that displays that I need the funding for my laptop that is related to my hearing disability (Cochlear Implant). I really need the funding because I don't want to burden my parents. It would be appreciated if you could give me list of things for me to say to my disability counsellor that could give me a better chances to receive the disability bursary funding.

How about working for it? I went to college AND worked part time.

Go to a library and use their computers.
 
are you american,if you brit there charity called computerbility and elizabeth flyn trust that may help,computerbility help me get one for daughter.

Thats little harsh huh

Anyway, Do you live in USA and have access to VR?(Department of Rehabilitation) They are able to provide one if you can explain why you need it for University. One of my friend have VR and she answer why she need a laptop for school then VR provide her a new laptop.

I used to go to libraries and people come there to use computers if they don't have one. It's a great thing libraries provide. I've done it myself.

If you're attending college you can also use the open computer labs.
 
I was going to suggest Project Endeavor as they had netbooks that you could have gotten at a discount, but it seems they have closed the program.

Definitely check with Vocational Rehab in your area. Since you are going to university and taking classes, chances are they will help you with getting a laptop to use.
