Sorry to say I've gotten responses like that to resumes I've sent in via job boards and even emails sent to me when they find my resume on job boards. And quite often from contracting companies I've HEARD of...
I usually skip replying to anything that has awful grammar, spelling and no job description listed. However if you DO decide to go forward, tell them that you don't have a phone or cannot use a phone. Of course many times they'll STILL ask for a phone number. I sometimes use VRS to call them or have them call (and a few times when they do figure out it's VRS aka interpreters, they never write back anyway...).
