Got a Brand New computer....

Yep, you read the title correctly.... I recently purchased a brand new computer last week and am very happy with it. I gutted out the old eMac and it's going to computer recycling store pretty soon.

here are the specs of the machine.

Mac mini
2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB memory
160GB hard drive
8x double-layer SuperDrive
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
Mac OS X Snow Leopard

I have it connected to a brand new 20" LG widescreen 16:9 LCD monitor as well. :)

Cool, I am glad to hear you didnt' buy the new IPad.:wave:
 
Nice computer! I don't need to buy new iPad. I will wait till upgrade 6-12 month now or think about 13" MacBook or MacBook Pro.

Thanks! if I had lot of money..I would buy a 13" Macbook Pro for sure. :)

Finally! No more slow computer. Your Mac mini is better than mine for CPU, RAM and graphic. My Mac mini is almost 3 years old and upgrade to Snow Leopard. It still works great.

Haha, yeah finally after more than a year not having a fast computer. My 20" iMac (2007) got stolen in Oct 2008 and was forced to get a cheap and old Mac for a while.

At least your Mac mini works great. :)

Two years ago, I almost buy Mac Mini ($275) at CompUSA. They told me that Mini has problem with graphic. We did test in store. Yes, it is problem with VGA port or graphic chip. I wrote model # and serial #.

I came home to call Apple's tech support. They told me full warranty for one year, free repair/replace but it is little old model. They do not have Duo Core. I decide not take it.
 
Congrat on your new Mac and you should be happy about ditch from slowpoke, outdated Mac with PPC. :)

At least they got sufficent video now. You can even run 2 monitors from it as well!

That's cool, Sequoias. I think I am due for a new Mac laptop and computer sometime this year as both of these units are a bit over four years old, I think and they are both still running good for me, a computer dummy, lol.
Anyway, you have fun with your newest prize!

Thanks! My computer which is 6 years old, I bought for $140 on Ebay in Jan 2009 died recently so I bought a new one with the insurance settlement money....perfect timing, haha.
