My little one got bit by my cat. She has been in the hospital for a week. On IV therapy for another week. On oral meds for a week, and now for another week Dr. has given me a precription.

The lump on her face, isn't going away. It's forming just above her lip. So they may possibly have to remove the lump.

My daughter goes tomorrow at 8am. She had an ultrasound done on her face yesterday.

We will see....
I'll keep you updated.

You're my prayer and get heal your daughter's plastic surgery.

Fill us in update, how's your daughter doing after surgery! :)

P.S. Lovely your avatar looks so great on you....

Oh my! I am so sorry about your little girl got bitten by your cat. May I ask how did that happen? I have a young cat in my home and my two little girls sometimes would fight over the cat by who gets to hold the cat first. I often worry that the cat might stratch or bite either of them.

By the way, I do hope that everything will go well when your little girl goes to see the plastic surgeion tomorrow. Keep us updated.

I will pray for your little girl's surgery to go well, and that she will quickly and completely heal. Please give her a  for me. :)

Butterfly..she was up at like 12:30 when we were all sleeping, and she is very rough with the cat. She came into our room screaming, I saw blood. I cleaned it out with proxide and put med cream on it. By 5:30 that day, it was so swollen that we had to take her in, plus she had a fever going. Her Ped wanted her admitted immediately. Becareful, because our cat is an indoor cat and even if your cat has shots or not they are very dirty and a bite can cause serious infections. The first 24-48 hours they had to figure out what meds to give her because it was spreading to her eye, and the Ped was concerned it may spread to her brain so then another Dr. that specializes in infectious diseases came in and she switched her meds as well. By Friday (Tues, Weds, Thurs & Friday) they had put her on two other meds which were stronger.

It's a major headache waiting to happen, becareful. Never in a million years did I think this would happen all over a bite.

Now I am really worried.
I just told my girls to be careful not to get rough with the cat because never know it might bite them :(

OH wow, I can't imagine what you're going thru thinking that she's in the hospital for a week over a bite. I'm sorry for what you're going thru and will keep your little one in my thoughts. Hope all goes well!

hugs

UPDATE on TODAY's APPT!

NO surgery!

I just have to massage it twice daily, it will take atleast 6 months for the lump to go away. But other than that the infection is gone.

Thanks everyone for thinking of us, and praying for us.

Today is the very last visit to the hospital!

That's super wonderful and great news that you, your daughter and family sure can be grateful for. Wishing that she will recover much sooner than waiting out the whole 6 months. ;)

Thanks for the update and awesome news! :)

I can understand that you are worried but tell your girls to not rough with cat case they hurt your girls. I have 4 cats here. Kim, my 2nd cat bite or scratch my boys and hubby most when she is moody. It doesn't affect my boys & hubby but pair scratch on their arm, hand or leg... Once on Danny's face. They know what Kim is and careful with her... Kim is a sensitive cat. My boys didn't tease or whatever but want cuddle her. Kim don't feel like being cuddle sometimes... She let me touch her few days old kitten or cuddle her, not my boys and hubby. :dunno: It seem to me that Kim trust me more than my boys & hubby... :dunno:

Aww.. I am sorry that happened to your little girl.. thats part of life .. we all careless and animals have their own defenses..

but i am glad that she dont need plastic surgery!.. pray for the recovering the heal...
