Hey all,
I'll be going to Gallaudet on Sunday for 2 weeks for school. I'm traveling from Buffalo NY and not too familiar with the DC area. I'm flying into DCA (Reagan Nat'l Airport) and I'm wondering what the best way is to get to the University from there? Cab or bus? I don't want to be dropped off somewhere by a bus and have to tote luggage the rest of the way! Any suggestions or advice would be so appreciated!

I think you just answered your own question: Take a cab, it might be expensive but you should get there safely. Best wishes to you at Gallaudet where things are rapidly changing.....

When u arriving Wash, DC via DCA, take yellow line (Metro subway to Fort Totten), ride to Gallery Place/Chinatown and get off then change to red line, (to Glemont), then get off at Union Station, go to outside and wait for Gallaudet shuttle bus service

Metro - Metrorail System Map (Metro subway map)

Administration & Finance (Gallaudet shuttle bus service schedule)

Hope it would help u, if u want to ask me more question, post here or PM me cuz I am working for Gallaudet Residence Hall (Clerc)

agree with farewell about taking the Metro. It is a lot cheaper than taking a taxi..

Bring about 20 in cash for Metro fees. :) Good luck!

Also the D.C. Metro is generally safe, clean, and easy to find your way in (compared with some other cities).

i have agree with farewell

because metro more cheaper than taxi you know why because taxi more lots of money get pays and plus tips for taxi drivers.

im always usually ride bus on cats and i always have tickets with me and i dont suppose to ride the taxi because more lots of money and plus tips for drivers.

you know in New York always have lots of taxi!!!!!!!!! and pays and plus tips for drivers also have any taxi in states have prices for travels in your hometowns how long you wanted going to work, shopping, airport, etc.

Thanks so much you guys, I appreciate the feedback.
farewell65- Thank you for the directions. I get lost sooo easily, but this sounds like a no-brainer. I will hope for the best and try and have fun!

When u getting on Metro subway u will get little lost/comfused, but try follow map :)

The Gally shuttle picks up on the M street side of the station, not the Florida ave side. Just in case you didn't know.
