I normally take my CI off when I go swimming or scuba diving but check this video out.

I don't think I'll ever try that with my CI thou.

If the reps from the insurance company that paid for it sees this, they will freak out! :giggle:
 
Definitely interesting and nice to see how elated this young boy was while swimming and being able to hear also. Since they have been doing this for almost a year now as well as doing it out in the ocean as well, so far, no indication of any problems. Obviously, great care and great detail is a must! If it works and keeps the boy happy, kudos to them! Great video and thanks for sharing with AD'ers!

I wouldn't dare go swimming with my CI on, no matter what! My CIs are $7,000 each (I got two for my left ear). I take real good care of my CIs.

I also take extra care of my CIs. I always place them in the Dry and Store whenever I need to remove them (such as when taking a shower) or I am sleeping at night.

I'm lucky to have 2 Freedom processors and 2 3Gs.

However, I still will not swim with my CIs under any circumstances. Better safe than sorry.
