Cool. I like my Naidas, but will be getting Siemens Nitros if Voc Rehab approves because my speech discrimination scores are dropping and my audi thinks the Nitros may be better at this point. If I don't like them, we'll try to the newer Naidas.

Only bad thing is that the hearing aid companies are cutting back on the available colors. :( Just basic colors for the Nitros, so I'm going to go with black but keep getting my clear blue glitter ear molds.

You might want to give the LACE program a shot and see if you can improve your speech discrimination scores thru it.

What about accessories? I believe you said you already have things like the ComPilot. That could also work with the later model IF you stay with one of Phonak's later Nadia models. Or I believe that have come out with an even late model of HA that it would still work with. You would also have to replace those kind of things if you change brands.

Yes, I know all that. Do you think I didn't think about that?

My audi feels sure Voc Rehab will pay for the miniTek since I would need it for using phones, "conference mics", etc. I would probably only need to pay for the TV BT transmitter.

What's more important is finding hearing aids that will help me hear/understand speech better and she feels the Nitros might be better (based on other clients reactions) than the Naidas.

As it is, if Voc Rehab doesn't pay for the HAs and the miniTek, then I won't be getting them.

I didn't phrase that very well did I? I was thinking in terms of wondering if VR would cover those kind of things that can really make a difference. Hope it all turns out real well in the end regardless of which brand and model it is.
