You do know that employers look up information about their employees on Google right?

Anyway, if you read later on in the article, they spoke how they ran a similar program to find the social networking and identity of people who uses Twitter and Flickr based on who they interact with.

It is not about "outing" gay members. It's about data-mining.

Thank you for proving my point. Regardless of whether the article was about outing gay people or not, why should it matter if we are deaf, dog loving, (of which I am AND cat loving :lol:) older, gay, single, married, whatever? IMO there is a line that has to be drawn as to what employers need to know about our private lives.
