So this will be my first year of going to a Gay Pride Parade/Festival I'm really excited about it! Anyone have any Pride stories???

I've never been to one but they always look fun, full of decorated vehicles and happy people and rainbow colors!

Have fun with your girlfriend and enjoy every moment because if you're having too much fun, the day will end before you know it!

I've been to my area's Pridefest and always enjoy it very much - people feel more free to express how or who they are. We do have some very very conservative/fundamentalist protesters who stand outside the main entrance with signs so that is something to be aware of.

Where I am, at the festival it gets very - VERY - colorful and "outside the box"-unique. Be prepared for anything.

Awesome fun:D

I've gone to a bunch. Last year, my dog won a "Gayest Dog" contest! :P

Aside from Pride always falling around the anniversary of my dad's death, I have no interest in going cause a fat dude in Florida needs no help in sweating his balls off.

I'm sorry for your loss Fulminty

I'm not sure how adult your pride events get, but my sister is of the straight but not narrow crowd, and has taken her son to a couple; the last was when he was 11 or so. I would think most festivals would likely have a family friendly area for those with kids.
