Two men, who became Yorkshire’s first gay foster carers, have been jailed for abusing four young boys placed in their care by Wakefield Council.

They were found guilty last month.

The pair, Ian Wathey, 41, and Craig Faunch, 32, were sentenced to five years and six years on Friday.

The boys aged between eight and fourteen were often vulnerable and from troubled backgrounds, Jeremy Richardson QC prosecuting had told Leeds Crown Court.

"These were vulnerable young people, they were in foster care," said Mr Richardson. "Trust had been reposed in the defendants to look after them, we assert they breached that trust and committed criminal acts."

In May, Wathey was found guilty of encouraging a child to watch sexual activity and two counts of sexual activity with a child.

His partner was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child and of taking an indecent photo of a child.

The couple were heralded as pioneers due to their willingness to foster the regions most troubled youngsters. Both men denied all the allegations throughout the two week trial.
 
Oh JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know some people are going to jump on this claiming that b/c of things like this gay men as a whole are sick pediophile monsters!!!! The fact is, that most sexual abuse is perpetrated by STRAIGHT MEN (ala Lolita). And yeah, I know people are going to point out NAMBLA, but a) there IS a hetrosexual version of NAMBLA, and b) Most NAMBLAers are STRAIGHT.

Not only homosexual people have done that but straight people have done it too...
Not only black people have done that but white people have dome it too... Let's hope this thread is gonna be a peaceful one... If this thread is about to be out of control... time to Buzz the mods to close this thread if if if if
 
I was just having a discussion with a homophobe the other day who thinks all gay men are pedaphiles. I was wondering if anyone has or can find statistics I think there are more hetero child abusers than homo child abusers. Any one?

You are correct. I don't have time right to do the search, but you are right. I'll do the search and post stats later.
 
I think we adults should be careful who we allow children to give foster to...
We should have done some parenting skill testing and psychological skill
testing and run background check and everything else before
we give children to strange people (hetero or homo).

It isn't right to give children away to people just because they are gay, and they have gay rights.

Would you trust me with your car, just give me the key, when you don't even know me, but you don't want to hurt my feeling because I am a different race????

The problem with this statement is that far more heterosexual people abuse children than homosexuals do.

If a man molests a boy, does that still make him straight?
 
I think it is because there are more heterosexual people than homosexual people.

Pedophile and Abusers come in all shape and size and in all walk of life.

That is like saying more men abuse kids than women...


Anyway, it is awful the way people abuse their rights.

Welll, it's not the gender that's at issue. Its the fact that the guy is attracted to CHILDREN. Many men abuse both boys and girls alike. It doesn't matter what the gender is, if a child is available and they are inclined, they will do harm to that child regardless of whether the child is male or female.

If a man have sex with a boy, it's an homosexual act but it doesn't mean the man is gay. Many men who molested boys identify themselves as straight.

Many guys have had homosexual experiences but most aren't gay, they were just curious. Many child molestors perform sex acts upon children because the idea of having sex with a youthful virgin turns them on. Obesssion with virginity is not a new concept; even the Bible talked about men who wanted only young virgins and if they found out they were not virgins, they would beat them, punish them and divorce them.
 
no, men molest boys... it doesn't matter if they are straight or homo, they are just pervert. Because they have sex with anything.

1. if you read the 1st post, the men are homosexual.
2. then you read they molested these boys.

I guess you would say...

If a man molests a boy, he is homosexual.

I don't know why a certain group has to do no wrong.
There are some bad gay people and there are some good gay people.
 
Those children who are put in foster homes have no family to care for, Those Foster parents are the people that are suppose to be saving those children lives, by giving them proper love and caring as possible. What sadness me that Foster parents have to harm those children, the same harm they were from at the begin a family that they used to have before being accepted in with a new family which that would be a Foster parents home.
