Gay Catholic priest getting married

Right...well, that's a good thing.

I'm actually pretty tired of some people using religion to bash against gays and lesbians cause they ACTUALLY don't know anything about what the bible says.

They say they know what is against God eh? *scoffs* sure whatever...I tell 'em to read the bible again completely cause Jesus Christ as the son of God NEVER said anything abt homosexuality is a sin. It's almost as if it seems like they ignored Jesus' statements and follow the rest of the bible like a bunch of ignorant idiots.

But anyway...it is a surprise and kind of rare to hear something like that....a gay priest in the same sex marriage and he actually have alot of guts to go thru that, even how everyone are always saying crap abt it.

Good luck to him. and I'm a Christian by the way lol.

IF we were allowed to discuss religion at AD I would debate your post. But we can't discuss it here. :(

To think of it, Catholic priests are supposed to be celibate. Even being in a heterosexual relationship is frowned upon by the church.

You're right, they are required to be celibate. I guess some choose not to obey their vows.

Even to debate is pointless, because I have seen posts where people pointed out that it's okay to be a homosexual, or it's not okay to be a homosexual... depending how you interpret the passages-- so it usually go nowhere and end up being a flamefest.

Either way, it is quite odd for a Catholic... considering, like banjo said, they are suppose to celibate according to their dogmas.

Just same with Christians and Muslims who did married to homosexual and chose not to follow the religion.

I'm really don't care if not followed any religion so it is impossible for me to follow due different agreement.

They could always choose the other path and convert to Anglican like the Hispanic priest, Father Albert, did. He's now living the life he wanted to live with a significant other because his religion allows him to.

That's just people handling things differently.

Arent being gay, raping chior boys, getting married and Catholic religion mutually exculsive? Ok based on facts they are not but shouldn't they be?

*shrugs* It's religion related cause we are talking abt catholic related priests but yeah oh well.

Agreed. It's not allowed for heterosexuals, so why is it allowed for a homosexual? If all priests were allowed to marry I would not see anything wrong with this.
