Where was that picture taken? Boulder?

Mine is around $2.98 near Vancouver, WA.

I hope that picture is a hoax. If they do go up that high, I cant go to work.

Ouch? Only an extra $5 or $6 bucks difference. Even if it goes up to $6.00/gal I'll still be ok. And if it does (or close to it) then certainly the scream for more domestic oil drill will certainly grow louder. Problem is that somebody in office is actually and tragically tone deaf.

first of all- how can that be a joke or funny?!

and its 2.80's here for gas. its about 3 bucks for diesel.

every buck counts. beside... by the time it gets to $6/gallon.... quite a handful of people already own fuel-efficient cars.

Even at $4/gal a few years back had many people grumbling and ranting even though they already owned fuel efficient cars. Just wait til it hits $6/gal.

no. we didn't have that much fuel-efficient cars back then. now we do. plenty.

Inching past $3 a gallon around here. I filled up today at $3.05 a gallon.

Try living in Alberta. We produce them right at home, yet our oil price is the same as any other Canadian and or American.

Albertans complain we pay too much for gas because we produce them right at home... should be cheaper right if we use our own oil? Unfortunately, their logic fails. Well, most of that oil is going to the Americans... if we keep them for ourselves, our economy wouldn't be as strong.

Hello. It was over $4.00/gal back in July 2008. And, yes, we did have (lots of) fuel efficient cars back then, too.

Hi. if you're talking about fuel-efficient cars from 80's or 90's.... well no that's not what I'm talking about. Back then - we had tons of Hummer, F-150, etc. because of loophole in Bush's incentive program. Then... gas price suddenly went to $4/gal. It was unexpected.

Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Chevy, etc just started to have new models of fuel-efficient cars (40+mpg) lately.

Um, blaming on Hummers, F-150s and such for causing higher gas prices? Pretty darned far fetched if you ask me, not to mention a bad scapegoat at that.

exactly where did I say I blamed Hummers, F-150, etc for making gas price going higher? Look back carefully at the posts between us.

Pay a particular attention at my comment in my previous post "by the time it gets to $6/gallon.... quite a handful of people already own fuel-efficient cars."

I'll clarify. There are more fuel-efficient models offering today than few years ago prior to surging gas price.
