Bully? Pacman is telling me that Bully has no subtitles. I thought listing games that do not have subtitles would be useful as a reference for deaf gamers at AllDeaf.

Games I remeber not having subtitles:
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
 
I do have japanese version for Resident evil series for gamecube had all english subtitles. :)
 
Japanese version? And Capcom removed them for the American version!!?!?!?! Corporate suits continute to baffle me.
 
no subtitles for Bully? that doesnt make sense since Rockstar always made grand theft auto games filled with subtitles too.
 
I know. I still am interested in Bully, because it looks fun and adds an unique concept to the free-roaming sandbox genre.

Oh man, please don't buy pacman's story, because he doesn't have own xbox nor bully games sofar... Bully should've the subtitles.. Anyway, I really wanted to buy bully games for xbox so badly.. I did look for bully in anystore.. there is no where hit on shelve in store.. geez..
Have you any idea the bully on shelve in store or something? :)
 
Pacman bought Bully and was telling me abt it... And i think Bully is PS2-exclusive for now. I suspect Rockstar may be developing a special edition for 360 or a sequel for PS3, who knows...

Rockstar was going to do Bully for the original xbox but somehow they canceled it and focused only on the PS2 version.

Thats a bit unusual for Rockstar to have games without subtitles, but I have one advice for buying games....

EBGames and Gamestop oftentimes have empty display boxes with the manual books inside them. Search the manuals for "Menu Options" and oftentimes it will tell you if the game you are considering buying has subtitles inside it. I have used that method to buy games that way so I dont have to worry about arriving home with the game only to find out it has no subtitles..
 
jeez i hate game siwthout subtitle here s one more i know that have no subtitle called grandia 3
 
I think Capcom is or was notorious for not putting subtitles in their games. When I bought and played Viewtiful Joe on Gamecube, I was so frustrated with Capcom not subtitling their games that I e mailed them a few times.
Add Viewtiful Joe Gamecube to the Games Without Subs list.
 
i guess alot of gaming company doesnt really give an crap about deaf people because alot of hearing people are buying more games than deaf people does anyway so i guess they decided what s the point? y ou know but then this is only just an specuation so just saying....
 
You are right. I also remeber reading in a magazine interview that some developers think it is cooler and has a better effect on the player to be dependent on audio instead of having converstations subtitled in-game.
I am very glad that Hideo Kojima decided to have subtitles included with Metal Gear Solid. If that game did not have subtitles, it would be good, but just not as good.
 
I got Bully today and played for around nearly 6 hours, and this game is alright but control for camera view isn't good and some mission is struggling, and towns are locked at first time and haven't unlock it because few mission are hard to pass. I'm supposed to rent this game at first and seems not of my type but recommended to rent this game.

Bully is canceled to release on Xbox, and only release on PS2.

I made mistake for not check other 3 features on options, then found subtitle mode and widescreen mode, and now... Bully has subtitles, and just go in option then display and turn on.

I tired send Email and Mail to Capcom about those game and the subtitle and guess what they do not give a damn about it. My friend did same thing, nothing happen. So I am very impressive with one game called Half-Life 2 for PC and have all subtitle for speak, warning, and sound phase. I support those company called Valve who made this game and I did play Demo F.E.A.R come with subtitle and guess who made this game? It is same company! I did play Doom3 on PC and everyone complain about no subtitle and they made a modify to add the caption for this game. we should thanks to them. I wish some company should consider this issue or it will make more worse because more game will be very advance and require understand game by listen. Damn them!
 
Hmmm...I knew Bully should have subtitles then...since GTA have the options for you to turn subtitles on/off as well so at least they did the same thing for Bully so it's a good thing Rockstar really "do care."

Bully is little different from GTA SA but its new options.

Just need go to main menu > options > audio > display > subtitles > turn on or off.

GTA SA is just use simple options to turn subtitles on.

I bet that GTA 4 will same as new options as Bully does but who knows.

I'm play Bully on HDTV with widescreen and its alright for me.
 
I love to play games on HDTV with widescreen mode. :)

Standard TV sucks...
 
I don't think PS2 supports HDTV. Only widescreen and progressive. Depend on what game supports.
