Been thru that and that is why I am much more comfortable in a signing environment. Tired of making accomodations to meet hearing people's needs while my deaf needs are being compromised. I used to fight for my rights for full access to communication, captioning, and so on but it just became so emotionally draining. Now, I am a teacher and fighting for my students' rights to a full access to language. It is tough.
