Also I watched long time ago movie called "Niagara, Niagara" about a love story and troubled young woman with tourette syndrome played by actress Robin Tunney. Good movie, rent this movie to see it in case if you haven't see it.

Hi, Morgan

Welcome to AD

Oh, I saw it tonight at 9pm. It was kinda sad but good movie anyway.

Interesting.
Although, I did not see it.

My brother have Tourettes.

It was bad growing up. He was majorly picked on.

He had so many tics that he would get sore muscles.

thanks.
I forgot it was on! darn it!
was it overall worth watching?

sorry about your brother. it is exactly what you describe from TV movie "front of the class". he was made fun of and yeah many tics and stutter words too, he would say "wa", "jai", "drop drop" jerked his neck. one lady said to his mother that she thought he was kind of like monster you know possessed by devil but not

today, people are awareness about tourette syndrome.

how's your brother doing now?

He is doing good we grew up in the 80's where a lot of MD were unaware of his disorder.

Finally mom took him to Shands hospital in Gainsville. Where someone actually knew what was wrong.
Some of my Brothers tics are/were head jerking, grunting, Leg and arm jerking, Clapping, whistleing, blinking and squinting.

It never goes away completely. He still has it

He is married and doing well.

I'll look for it, thanks :)

I understand. Oh, good that he's doing well.

He is doing good!

I'm just glad to see more awareness in Tourette Syndrome.

A lot of people don't even know what it is. Or may have never heard of it.

If anyone has any questions about Tourettes please feel free to ask me.

I don't mean to hi jack this thread but I just think it is so cool that someone posted this...

:ty: to the OP
