Does anyone else's freedom implant rub their ear? Mine does all the time and im wondering if theres any way to prevent or stop this

Depends on where it's rubbing, If it's top of the ear where ear hooks lies, i turn the hook until it's more comfortable or put some sort of plaster to make it bit more cushiony. Lately I just put up with it. It's the weight of the batteries.

Its at the top of my ear so i usually take my ci off when its really sore

some people use moleskin on their ear. If you have extra earhook for back up, I suggest you take one poor one and wrap the moleskin around it so it can give you a bit of cushion. I never had any issues with mine, but I've read stories about irritations and stuff.

If you feel that it's just weighing your ears down. put your hair up in a tight ponytail and hook the CI on your hair instead of your ear. I do that occassionally...but only when I'm home. :) I think I have a picture of it on my blog.

whats moleskin?

yeah i did that today but not for long as the mic was covered n sounded quieter!!

You don't need to cover the mic just hang the processor on your tied back hair...

Moleskin is soft velvetly material, you can get sticky backed ones.......

actually thanks lady... i think i have found some moleskin in my house!!!

I didnt cover it, it got covered by my hair so i took it out cos the sound was quieter. can you buy moleskin from somewhere?

Tie your hair back tighter then...

ever heard of google.... google moleskin fabric or go to fabric shop.

No need to be like that!! I certainly wont be asking you anything again!

Well i am sorry to be blunt, but every time we give advice you just answer back with excuses and never thanked us for our advice.

Actually I was just going to thank people but you put me off. Thanks Lady Sekhmet

You have moleskin, you could have at least ave the decency to tell me where from. Other kind people would do this but not you

Didn't say i have... I said "i think I have"..... which turns out to be foam that looks similar... ok... stop this sillness, I admit that I am being silly, i am tired and i shouldn't have taken out on you and i apologise.

Cheers.

No I haven't got that moleskin i thought i found but it's sort of thin foam with soft feel i think it's for glass shelves and putting crystals ornaments on to prevent it from stratching... I cutted a bit off and wrapped round the ear hook.. it does feel alot more comfy... Sorry I have no idea where it came from I don't think it's long term solution since it doesn't stick on.

What Botts just suggested is another good thing but when i looked up we have limited choice of colours in UK (through connevans)... But worth trying.

Have you asked your CI centre about this? There must be fair few people who have problems with their processors rubs.

I have them too djchur , they're comfortable..but lately I lean more to wear the CI on shoulder with a long 30 inch coil...
