I am Hoh. from medical POV I am totally deaf, hence recommendation for CI, only I hardly ever participated in Deaf community.
I grew up totally in hearing environment.
But I do feel deaf in many ways, Deaf even, since I can hear big fat zit (w/o HAs)
and many, many experiences I read about here are simply.... my own!
