When I was younger in my 20s and early 30s, my periods were alwasy like clockwork...every 28 days....and 7 days of having periods from heavy to light. I am now 36, and I have noticed recently that my last couple of periods was approx. 3 days instead of the 7 days...but they still arrive like clockwork (28 days).....
I also noticed only only it is approx 3 days now, but also my periods used to be heavier (I used to get accidents sometimes if I don't change in the bathroom), but now it seems to be medium flow (not too heavy and not too light).
I have never been pregnant, never took birth control meds, etc. I haven't been to a GYN for a couple of years, I do admit to you for that.....
I don't want to be out of luck if I want to still have kids even if I am in my late 30s....I know there are plenty of people my age who can be pregnant.
Should I be concerned?

Hi Nancy, I suggest you to go to see a GYN as soon as you can. Only he or she can tell you what is wrong. Don't wait too long.

Yep, I agree with her. You need to go to see GYN so you can find out what is going on.

Yeah I've have the same problem as you are having now, and I haven't been to my OBGYN since my third child, so it's been 6 years now..... :jaw:

All of us will go through a "change of life" ahead toward our menopause. My deaf friend had her menopause when she was in 20's. No kidding. My mother had menopause when she was 45. Some women's periods are heavy flows and some other women's periods are light flows until reach menopause. All women are different.

I had my first period when I was 13 and had 10 days of period flows. Later in teenagers, reduce to 7 days and then had my children, reduce to 5 days. Now is 4 days and every 32 to 40 days cycle. I am nearly 40. :) My mother started her period when she was only 8 years old. No kidding!

Menopause is like PMS. IMO, I would prefers to have fiberious reduce or remove instead of hysterconomy. Yes, fiberious can come back after treatment. It cause heavy bleeding or flows and pains in lower adbomen area, also in lower back as well.

I'm agree with anyone here... I would suggest you the same to go to GYN for check... and check Tamara's link at her post.
