Oh boy, so many Audists!

Why are you labeling them audists?

Sunshine Cottage School was my former elementary school I went to and it's known that some of former students there attended both Gallaudet and NTID in the past... go figures. I have several friends that goes to CID and few others and they were my NTID classmates and they all knew asl...

I think it is ridiculous of you to accuse them as audists!

Have you seen this poem?

Tsk tsk!

I don't think she is labeling the students as audists. I am sure she is thinking of whoever decided on oralism for those schools. Now those are audists.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf is not an oral school...no way! LOL!

My brother would quit his job right on the spot if PDSD became an oral deaf school!!! I was there with him on Wednesday...everyone used ASL.

Yea, the people who run these schools are probably hearing audist.

I never meant "students" though...

You are right that Phoenix Day School for the Deaf-AZ never was a oral deaf school at all... So it shouldn't be listed at all...

Millridge Center for Hearing Impaired, Highland Hts, OH
Mayfield Middle/High School, Mayfield, OH

Lake Drive Elementary School/Mountain Lakes High School, Mountain Lakes, NJ...it is a totally communication program for Deaf/HH students..

Same goes for Governor Livingston HS.

Sorry.. I disagree with that. I know several of people who graduated from MLHS. It is a totally oral program here. I will ask one of my friends about it.

I was not saying that the schools you mentioned are not oral deaf schools... just that I was saying that the list in first post above are oral deaf schools meaning no total comm. options included. just oral deaf edu. so I provided the link to that list which are oral deaf education schools.

Shel and I already said that PSD in Phx, Az is not actually a oral deaf education based school.

I believe MD is listing those private oral deaf education schools while you are listing public school that has such oral deaf eduation program or utilize IEP hmmm....

I dont see John Tracy Clinic there? :dunno2: It was the first school I attended. Spent 10 years at Tucker Maxon.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf - my brother and his wife works there - it is definitely not an oral school.

It's in the link I provided earlier...

How about a list of deaf residential schools and deaf programs in mainstream schools?

Maybe they also count "oral programming" as "oral" Some Deaf schools host Oral Early Intervention programs.
