Here are my reviews about here. Anyone else who lived here or currently live here feel free to post your reviews.

Washington state

Pros
very green
clean air
lots of trees
low crime in many suburbs
No state income tax
perfect summers (western part of the state)
low road rage risk
Good job growth
Good transit system, Altho no light rail or heavy rail but there's light rail under construction currently.

Cons
Many deaf people aren't that friendly here, just a few are
(difficult to make friends with them)
depressing people (not very social)
bad traffics depending where you live
high cost of living
rains a lot in late fall to spring time (only the Western part of the state)
high sales tax rate
high property taxes if you buy house here (mainly in Seattle metro area)

I used to live in Kirkland for about 4 months and I wasn't happy. I am glad I don't live there though. I do like Washington but it is not for me. *sigh* It is so beautiful up there! OFC I do miss it!!!

I went to Seattle to visit my aunt who lives there and stayed for a week. Fell in love with it. I would love to move there but tooooo $$$$$$ for me.

I don't understand why Washington got very high property taxes when they got Billionaire live there and got HUGE company that got huge revenue dollars, don't washington state try to take their money? Im sure you know what I am talking about.

I have visited Washington state many years ago and skiied on Mt. Crystal (not that nasty stuff to get high!) Beautiful green forests :)

Don't think I can add any comments here except to say that I have a friend who lives in Seattle area and loves it there--ofc, she is born and raised there. But she lived in Los Angeles for a year where I met her and she complained that its way tooo dry for her--where is the rain?? *takes out binoculars to check for rain clouds over L.A. Oops, too foggy today...*

It's because Washington state has a different tax system. There is no state income tax so the tax works differently here. They have high sales tax and high property taxes to cover that (mainly in Seattle metro area) The property taxes have stuff to pay for schools, many things like that. The sales tax is 8.9% mostly in Seattle metro area but most of the state is about 8 percent, I think.

Half of what you say, High cost of living, Rains alot, High taxes, High property tax. Correct! My brother lives on Camano Island, WA. He said same thing about it. As for Deafie living there, I don't know much about it but thanks for letting me know. LOL.

For Other half, Yes it is beautiful. Been there. My brother was trying make me envy about view of Mt Baker from his livingroom window. Great fishing and hunting spots. He trap crabs from ocean and cooked as a free dinner for visiting family or friend, Lucky for him! I would love to hike there when I can fly to visit him.

four thing I like about Seattle...

- great transportation
- strict ubran grow
- best sushi - fresh
- lot hottie asian chick :D

i have been to WAshington state.. It is so beautiful there.. I loved it there.. I wouldnt mind living there..but nah.. i rather be close to my son.. :)

and i want to add that just think of the risk of living near Mt. Rainier as they said it could blew sometimes the next 75 yrs.. so living near the volcano is risker...

yeah that bill gates. they sure should have take his tax money to help lower the property tax.. i kinda believe property tax is a big mess-up in many states. and they just keep going up and up and up

interesting I never thought about that.. but yeah I figured it probably will be harder if I ever moved to washington state..

awww thats not fair to say that about ANY deaf population anywhere as its based on your experience alone.. I know different deaf folks from washington state and I only have one that I disliked due to her personality/character and how she used people but out of all others I've liked very much maybe 1 out of 10 were'nt cool but other 9 out of 10 was....however they didnt act like the characters out of Fraiser lol...

Sure, you're welcome to ask Sweetheart and Metroguy03. They're both very social people. Many of my friends agree with me about that because Washington deaf people are like that in general. It's your views on that, so I respect that. :)

Living here Vancouver, Washington for 20 years and your list is very correctly ;) Washington just sucks to me...

I used to live in Seattle, WA before and I never like it. Too many skyscrappers and it is boomin'. Their freeways remind me of California.... miles and miles and even, stretchin' from towns to another towns. Yikes ! LOL I don't mind visitin' there for vacation, but to live there ...no way ! Just forget it. I prefer to live in a country rather than in a big city. :)
