So much of research focuses on negative things about being D/deaf – underemployment, academic difficulties, etc. It is time to look at the positives. I am a parent of a deaf daughter and I am very interested in studying what makes D/deaf people competent and successful. If you are 18 to 25 years old and became deaf on or before age 2, you are eligible to participate in a national study being conducted at the University of Missouri – Columbia.
Let’s tell the world about what’s right about being D/deaf!
