can an fm system be used with itcs?

If the hearing aid has tcoil and you use a neckloop receiver. Phonak has a neckloop receiver for it's FMs

Right - I have one. It is a pain in the butt! I hate it. I get stuck in it when I am signing and the sound quality sucks. Integrated receivers on my BTEs are MUCH better! I have those now too.

thanks for the headsup

You're right, the sound quality with direct attached or integrated FM receivers is much better than coupling FM over the T-Coil. I think sound quality of inductive Neckloops is fine, but on the train platform you only hear the hum from the power lines picked up by the T-Coil .
For ITC, there is no possibility to attach the FM receiver directly to the HI. If you don't like the sound over T-Coil, you have to select an ITC with another wireless technology so you can listen from a digital streamer like iCom.
