One thing that bother me the most is why put the devices in the cochlear if this devices were not working or does not respond when the deaf child could not hear it? Why the child have to endure having to be left in with the devices in his cochlear? The child will have to go for another surgery to take the devices out just like Travis did. Surgery is suppose to save a life but being deaf is not disease or not in dangerous health. It is not a life threatening thing. They can deal with the hearing aid or none at all. I wonder if the device in the cochlear can last like the computer or the car or the house. It probably last about 5 to 10 years or more.
