Hawaii doesn't have death penalty since 1957 but they can still get death penalty at federal level.

chicago was found couple hundred years ago, Hawaii, not even 60 years old yet. So makes sense...

And once you are in Hawaii, you will understand. I have been there and the atmosphere is downright relaxing. Not like in your town. If you travel out, you will see much more than you'd realize.
