Final, SDH had black soild background!!!

Final! let you know. I bought 2012 DVD, I see no CC, I am sad... It is okay, I put it on player, I am glad SDH had two non-soild or soild black background!! I am happy see perfect

you think start SDH keep solid black background continue and future?
 
I hope so, but that's up to the movie studio that made the disk, not DVD or Blu-ray player.

Sony has been doing this with the Blu-ray since nearby the very beginning. Now they're just starting to do it with the DVD.
 
I thought SDH is completely text-based and the background/font is hardware dependent?
 
Yes, bought this disc and noticed English SDH with black box at first time. I don't matter to choose English subtitle or English SHD.
