Fatigue

Oh god, with HA's, of course, I did get so tired at the end of day (work/school) but now days with CI it's much better since i don't need to conterate so hard all day.

I notice that even with my hearing aids as some point during the day my ears are just tired. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

It seems that my hearing gets worse latter in the day. Could be the cause of it.

Yep, my hearing definitely gets worse throughout the day, or more accurately, my ability to process whatever I'm hearing.

Hi everyone, I just read this and definitely can relate. i notice that first thing in the morning when i put my hearing aids in, that everything sounds really good. But just like some of you were saying, about halfway through the day and especially at night, I hear much worse than in the start of the day. I hear a lot of distortion and static over everything. The only thing that I have found that helps is to put my hearing aids on T and hear nothing but low freq noise from the hearing aid for a while and "take a break" from hearing and then turn them back on later. I will ask my audie about this issue tm.

I have similar issue with my CI ear that will get tired at the end of the day after 13 hours of listening to co-workers on issues to be worked on, talking with people in South America and support personal in India. I just turn off my CI implant on the way home to give it a rest and from all the road noise and turn them back on at home for the rest of the night before bed.

I have the Naida IX UP's.I have had them for a month now. Had the same problem only worse. They would suddenly shut down, both aids, not at the same time. The Phonak rep, the head office, and my audi all felt it was the battries. The UP's use 675 battries. When installed you must wait 2 min after removing the tab before putting them in the aid. Also it was suggested that the filter in the battery cover be removed. The filter in the battery cover restricts the air to the battery and it looses power. Over night with the door open it regains the power.
I found that removing the filter corrected my problems. My audi is going to supply me with hi power 675's. I believe they are the ones used in CI's.
I hope this helps.
