All employees at Shawnee TB/KFC are basically mostly whites and few blacks. All can read cuz they're clean cut College students (I can tell it very easily). It is no excuse for them to mis-order every time if they can't read my cleanly printed handwriting! Bonner Spring TB/KFC are mostly hispanics and they can read and order just perfectly fine! (huh!)... I personally believe it have to do with manager.. Cuz I can see routine patterns very clearly while they don't even with different employees. The last visit that I had in Shawnee TB/KFC was young hispanic woman in her 20's and she can read just fine too but still screw up my order..
So there were no immigrants in that restaurant tho.. That was my issue..
I never had any issue with immigrants about reading note when I went to any stores. They all can read fine and they're smart.
I recalled that at my job, I applied for Station job and were taking training for that job. While I'm in training, the manager invited me to Station and had a tour and have informational talk with Assistant Manager. Because they had a questions about my deafness!! :roll: I was told that there are some customers can't read so she asked me what I would do. I told her that I would point what they want and nod or shake head 
She said that's what you can do as a backup. I told her that I am fluent in ASL and wonder if there are deaf customers coming over to station? She said yes she have encountered several of them. 
I was told that customers are mostly black, hispanics and other nationality. I don't have any issue with it but later I decide to cancel training and flunk test on purpose cuz Manager in station isn't friendly with me, I wish assistant manager is the regular manager
So I have gotten an idea there are some people can't read at all. But still TB/KFC was entirely different story. It's just the patterns I can see it very clearly, different employees, same problems.
