what I want to know is this -- what fashion law would you propose? Have you ever seen someone and said "There ought to be a law!" Have you ever wanted to have something banished from wardrobes everywhere?

If you could make a law against one clothing item, what would it be?
For me: I would vote daisy dukes, mini skirts, boots with fur on it (mongolian/eskimo style), pointy toe shoes, basket ball hi-tops, spandex, and overalls to be banished..........
also guys with hairy chest should NOT wear wife beaters shirt.......

What's a wife beater's shirt? :dunno:
I think it's those thin white tank-tops that are meant to be worn under your other types of shirts. It's either that or a plaid shirt with the front unbuttoned exposing hair from the middle.

Oh—trailer trash chic. That’s what I figured it meant, thanks.

No problem! :thumb:

I agree. There are some people who dress up in ways that just don't fit or look absolutely horrible.

For instance, I've seen severely obese women walking around in tank tops that only cover their breasts and one upper flab. I've seen men with so much hair on their chest, back, and arm pits that it's a nightmare to see them walking around in a tank-top... or what BabyPhat would call... "a wife-beater's shirt".

Hmmm...why create a law on fashion -- on what is good and what's not? What happened to our rights on dressing the way we want and feel most comfortable in? :?:

I understand and know what you mean...but still, that doesn't call for creating a fashion law in banning certain types of clothes and so forth. Sure I have seen overweight/obese people wearing clothes that are either too revealing or a couple sizes too small and are quite unflattering, but that's what they like to wear. It's their business, not ours.

I thought the world was supposed to be a free place to live? No one runs our lives the way the government sees fit...NO fucking way...we'd be miserable if there were such laws banning anything that are deemed worthless or not good enough for the society in general.

Yes, I heard a couple of people who said ' There ought to be a law for that ', just because, they dislike when someone wear something that not approvable by them...

For myself, I don't believe it should be a ' Law ' not on fashion clothing...Everyone simply has a right to wear whatever please them....and I surly do not judge those who wears short skirts, tank tops etc. etc. even though it may not fit them...That's another reason why I love ' Freedom ' wear what we want!....

I do remember when I was in church , this young girl was wearing tiger shirt with black pants....some of our members were pretty much gasping and staring at the young girl....for myself, I see nothing wrong with that.. God dont judge people for what they wear at church as long they believe in HIM!..... :)

Waterrats, hi!

I don't think the originator of this topic meant making a law, per se/literally. Its just venting.....

Hi back, Tousi! :D Yeah, I knew it was just a vent -- but just wanted to say my 2 cents should that happen for real. ;)

:werd: i cannot stand these "laws" "rules" etc...

Hmm, I heard there is a NEW law
to ban all kind of clothes !! (gasp :)

Fashion means creativy and freedom. :D

I dont want any law for fashion. I want people to have their own preference clothes styles.
