Just failed another hearing test. This must be like the one hundreth!!
Speech decrimination down to 65% in both ears.

Dude, there is no such thing as failing a hearing test! As people in NY would say, "It is what it is".

Now, I know losing your hearing can be quite terrifying and I'm sorry about it, but trust me, it's not the end of the world.

Try some preventive techniques (less loud music) and get yourself a hearing aid, you'll feel better.

Vocational Rehab

I have aids presently & and my audiologist is submitting paper work to vocation rehad to get my some ones with streamers for my job since I work on the Phone.

You have to understand that, moving forward, phone work will be difficult. I was in the same situation and that is why I moved from customer support to development. Looking forward, you may want to think about changing vocations or departments. Certainly, in my case, I could not do the customer support job as effectively anymore. Either QA or development were both better fits for my condition so I made the change.

I agree , I never think of it as failing my hearing test. I see it as test to see if I need stronger HA.

If you're losing your hearing, then accept that it's happening and move on.

It's not the end of the world.

If you fail a hearing test 5 times, why bother taking more.

Usually, people get a second opinion (or third at the most) when trying to determine a health or physical problem. If all are the same, the that's to be accepted and move on with what you CAN do with your current condition.

I can understand. When I was younger I would have been devastated but now it's like "whatever" You can survive without hearing.......
