What kind of tubes are you talking about?? make it clear for all of us.. we cannot discuss if we dont know what you are talking about??

:afro: sorry i could explain more
tubes for ears after just finding out my 17mo old son has tons of fluid behind both ears and lost hearing in one ear and lost parcial hearing in the other ear- the next step would be tubes or constant antibiotics- i just wondered if anyone had them or their kids n if the worked or waste of time thnks:ugh3:

We had tubes put in Lillys ears twice. Both times they worked very well. She was always getting ear infections. She was getting infections about twice a month. We got the tubes when as a first step in narrowing the possibility of a hearing loss. Well, needless to say, the tubes didnt help with the hearing, but they did a great job in preventing ear infections. When she had CI surgery, they took out the right tube (thats the inplanted ear). The left tube stated to push itself out (which is normal). When they replaced the left tube, they reinserted the right. We noticed onceagain, a decrease in ear infections.

Hope this helps.
