Why Why Why? I take it you are against cued speech too eh.

Nope, just see it's limitations. It can be a useful tool, once a child aslready knows English. Why. Becasue it is Hooked on Phonics made visable, that's why. Why are you so defensive?

I feel that someone is making a genuine effort to provide information that may be useful to some and I get the impression you are trying to minimalize or make light of it. Sorry if I got it wrong

Aploogy accepted.

This statement couldn't be further from the truth....

With the "s" and "l" miles apart on the keyboard...

Funny how focused you are on ASL....:giggle:

"aslready"

Hey cloggy, do you have anything intelligent to add to this discussion? If you don't want me pointing out all of your errors, such as "heared" instead of "heard", you probably shouldn't be so quick to attempt witty retorts. Yopu would have much more credibility if you actually had an intelligent observation to make. Butm since you are obviously so lacking in real information, you attempt to divert the topic through sarcasm. The only thing you are succeedingin doing is making yourself look like an idiot. Pretty accurate portrayal at that.

I'd expect nothing less of someone who thinks that being able to speak is more important than being able to comprehend and communicate fully. It's all about appearances for you cloggy. Long as that kid looks and acts more like a hearing kid, the goal has been accomplished, and the negative effects on that child's ability to fully function doesn't matter at all. Because God knows, no one should ever suspect that good ole cloggy actually sired a deaf child! Refelcxts badly on his manhood.

.... Yopu ....... Butm .... succeedingin .......

.....sired ... Refelcxts ......

You should learn to relax....

I mean ... ASLready... I just loved that.... that was NOT a typo !!!

Otherwise, no, nothing to add to the thread... Nor have you. I realised that when you said "Yes, dear, I do understand cued speech."... You still haven't realised it..

Anyway..
Relax, and let us enjoy al the words you invent...

Once again, cloggy, you have nothing to add. Go read one of those books on your list, inform yourself, and then come back when you are able to engage in intelligent conversation.

Didn't we just agree on that....
Your short-term memory is going !!!!

Nope, short term memory is fine, as is long term memory. Care to engage in an educated discourse regarding the memory processes and cognitive processing differences in deaf childen?

Yeh!
You start a new topic!
Ask me any question....
