I had an interpreter last quarter at college here who was very rude to me. She would never look at me, sign to me, her signing was all out of context, she only signed half the stuff the teacher was lecturing amnd to top it off .. she would only show up half the time she was scheduled to work.

Did you ever report on her? You should since I would do that cuz I don't want to miss out anything what's happening during the class.

I agree with u. That wasnt professional at all and she obviously broke several code of ethics.

I never had that problem with my interpreters...they were always professional, friendly and very helpful.

I got her back though, I paused her in the midle of her signing one day and switched up to the rochester method. I started fingerspelling a bunch of relavent, but meaningless stuff -- out, very fassssssssst. She got extremly mad, I could see her face turning red. :D:mrgreen::P

I did not know how to. I know, stupid huh?

I would just go to main office of college you are at and tell them. I am sure they will direct you to correct person or office so you can report it.

No, not stupid at all. Just because no one ever told you of your rights, or how to file a grievance does not make you stupid. That interpreter, on the other hand........well, you get what I mean! If you need some advise on how to file a grievance, just pm me.
