If your teenager wanted to get emancipated and had a job and promised to stay in school would you let them get emancipated or make them stay with you?

That depends on the situation. If the child is able to prove that he/she can take care of themselves, and emancipation is actually better for the child, then, I'd allow them to be emancipated.
 
I wish I had gotten emancipated when I was younger because foster care was hell for the most part.
 
If its bad situations, and for some reason then yeah kids can do that.... I saw a movie on Lifetime Channel few months ago, I think it is called "Grace's Choice" or something like that...
