<---Middle of the road

I vote for who can lead the country better.

Nuty, u think Ralph Nader will run on the Green platform again for 2K4?

i know i voted none, but i haven t voted for the last 8 yrs and don't intend to vote from what i have seen they nations leaders have been screwing with our lives. SO who's to say they have the best leaders? basically the leaders we have had were involved in scandals, bad judgements and no respect for the gays and lesbains, and like was mentioned in the current events abt regloious and poltics they seem to mix the both when it should be separated, but ofc theres always people who will just say this guy is better than that guy.... so it's in the best intrest that i just wait til we have a FULL SUPPORT of the gays and lesbains who can be married and have full benifits and not allow any judgemental situation and discrimimation against all walks of life.

this prez we have has virtually tried to shred the ADA laws, says would support gays and lesbains then go against what he says, pretty hypocrite of him to do that, and last but not the least, gotten us into war with saddam when he should have been foucusing on getting bin laden and saddam arrested, not just destroying and killing poeple left and right.
this nation really has a warped mind anyhow!

but java, had you and a few others voted in the last election, we wouldn't have been bushwacked!

Use your vote to vote people you don't like out of office!

It's interesting -- anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but there's not mandatory voting system in USA, right? Mandatory voting means you're REQUIRED to vote, no matter what or receive a fine for not voting.
That's what is in the system here in Australia. :P That's one of the few reasons I've been putting off in obtaining my Australian Citizenship because I don't want to vote all the time! *sigh*

You've got a point there...I have done that before in the past...a few times it did work. ;)

Democrat all the way!!!
Also, I came from a Democrat family.

Of course, I would be open-minded and listen to the contestants' agendas, then I would decide who is best for the position in the government. For example, I voted a Republican Senator for New Jersey once, because he knew what he was doing.

But my ideas and agenda are mostly democrat.

I agree with you, kuifje -- I normally vote Democrats...but if there are a few Reblicans who have a good standings and ideas of setting up a good system for the government, THEN I'll vote them.

no its not required here but is STRONGLY encouraged -- i myself havent voted in years -- i got tired of the BS political lying and shit so i just stopped voting -- i should register again and try and outst stupid George Bush Jr OUT of office damn -- him and his stupid brother FL governor Jeb Bush are on a warpath to dirty up the votes again and i sure hope it doesnt happen this time around cuz its all computerized (from what was discussed from the last election and found for REAL Gore actually won the elections but they "lost" the 600 some votes of Gores' for Bush to win)

To be honest, I think I have mentioned this in another thread -- :dunno: where...but, that Bush scares me. I know he does have some good stands on some issues, still a lot of other issues people have trouble absorbing and accepting what he has decided to do.

Yeah, I was pissed off about them 'losing' the 600+ votes Gore should've won and won the election itself for Florida...:madfawk: I think the election was rigged somehow in Florida, so Jeb Bush could have his brother win the Fla election, grr!
As for the mandatory voting system -- I believe it does work wonders as not that many people in Australia has gotten fined for not voting. They just go into the voting booth and vote, period.
