If you had to choose, which natural disaster would you rather have happen in your area?
whoa.... a very hard question.... this game is fun!! I'd pick tornado because among other disasters listed above - you have a very high chance of survivability in tornado. All you have to do is bunker down and wait it out.
earthquake... you're screwed. no place is safe
volcano.... no place is safe
hurricane.... you'll drown
tsunami... well shit lol

I did escaped from hurricane 4 times, it's nothing wrong and lots of fun!!!!
I do understand what happened in New Orleans because people don't understand that New Orleans is tooooo lower land of sea level, if I was in New Orleans then good question which I never been experience but in Florida or Texas or Nova Scotia ... I don't have any problem and I can escaped it
once time hurricane did hit Toronto, sound like weird?

Well, with hurricanes, you have plenty of time to pack up and get the hell out of the area before it hits. Even up to a week. With tornadoes you only have 30 seconds or even less to get your ass down to the basement or cellar, and none if you are deaf and cannot hear the siren warning and have been sleeping...then you are FUCKED! Earthquakes, NO warning, and you are right, nowhere is safe! Same goes for volcanoes! And Tsunamis as well if you live over in Asia (I don't think I've ever heard of Tsunamis in either US coasts.

Oh, yeah, ever heard of 1964 Alaskan Tsunamis? Very bad one. Enough to turn a big cargo ship upside down.
where were those 4 hurricanes?
oh I wasn't thinking of evacuation. I thought you were asking what disaster you prefer when you're in disaster. I prefer tornado if i'm in middle of disaster and Well shit - yea I'll prefer hurricane under normal circumstance since it's predictable and you have plenty of time to evacuate.
A hurricane hitting Toronto....that's impossible. Toronto ain't anywhere near the ocean. Unless I am mistaken, hurricanes will only hit the ocean/gulf coasts of different countries. (In some countries, hurricanes are called cyclones, dunno why, they are the same, I believe).
August 24 1992 in Miami, Florida by Hurricane Andrew
September 27 2003 in Halifax, Nova Scotia by Hurricane Juan
August 13 2004 in Orlando, Florida by Hurricane Charley
October 23 2005 in Jupiter, Florida by Hurricane Wilma
goddamn.... must be hell of experience!
