DVD Rentals at Wal Mart.com (Free Trial)

Myself, I think it would be a good move for video stores to adapt a monthly fee for a member like they do online.

I don't rent DVDs online, I don't like to wait.

Blah! I prefer simple ol' Blockbuster Video! :thumb:

Yeah, with that rewards plan they started about a year ago, nobody can beat their prices. In my area, it's rent one get one free Monday through Wednesday. So that's $2.13 a title. If you've got a burner, reliable blank discs are down to about $1.80. So you can have any movie you want for about 4 bucks.

I'm a Reward member as well... a GOLD Reward member. Instead of the usual Monday to Wednesday benefits, I get Sunday to Thursday benefits!

How big is that bonus... I work for Wal-Mart for 3 years and they dont give much bonus.

And the stocks are remaining unchanged since I started working for Wal-Mart.

I feel so :Owned: by Wal-Mart. heh heh

wow.. didn't know u work at wal-mart too.. i work at walmart since june 2000. well Bonus vary by store to store depend how they sell their stuffs, accidents free, etc.... my store 1470 last march was $657 and 2 years ago was $566

next one they estimate it will be around low $600's

the MAX stakeholder bonus is $3,000 i dunno if any store made this much..
I wish my store give away $3,000 per person..

but other than that.. i enjoy their benifits like profit sharing, 401K etc..
yeah stock is been flat since May 2003 last year stock skyrocket $64 per share. if they reach $100 per share then they'll spilt it up and u'll get double shares.. nice?

Wal-Mart sucks; they've destroyed small town America's Mom and Pop stores and don't pay their employees enough.

in my college years... I rent online from netflex. I probably got up to 12 movies per months. My old locations that used have PO arrive at this afternoon and I rush take one of movies and return back in the blue box before 6pm. I was crazy!

Now, I don't rent online anymore. I go to Movie Trade Store. It's awesome. I could trade or rent movie. :thumb:

Well divide by how many people your store has hired. if your store made $1 million in profit sharing divide that number by like 3,000 employees. You will get about $334. heh heh :naughty:

Rent

I was hoping that there are machine that can rent or order over the phone or anything possible! I do not like rush to rent a movie even the dvd rent is out. So I hope someday that tech can break through. Of course, it can hurt many business unless either one Wal Mart or Block Buster better investing that kind tech to break through to save custom's time. Its could be nice instead waiting on the stupid pay pre view.

Also, I heard the story and not sure if that joke?! The phone line company, not know which one, is investing the new way. To enable the television running over the phone line instead the regular cable. is that true possible?! Who know what could happen since phone line has data with high speed and of course its depend where you live. Will they willing to increase due the television image deman?
